چکیده
Meistera chinensis is one of the new generations Zingiberaceae family. have a large number species and still need research to reveal their chemical content. chinensis, local plant that widespread in Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Empirically, M. used as flavor enhancer food, aches, increases body immunity. There are no reports content or its biological activity. In this study, fruit was tested for phytochemicals, antioxidants using ABTS test, total phenolic, flavonoid content, toxicity test with BSLT. extracted ethanol fractionated by ethyl acetate solvent use vacuum liquid chromatography. Phytochemical screening carried out qualitatively calorimetric method. The fraction monitored lethal brine shrimp (BSLT). These fractions method obtained 1-8 (F1-F8) ascorbic acid were controls. results showed radical scavenging activities very strong activity IC50 42.7±3.53 mg/L (F8). phenolic contents 30.72±1.07 mgGAE/g 8.02±0.48 mgQE/g, respectively. phytochemical evaluation contains terpenoids, saponins, phenolics, steroids, alkaloids, flavonoids. BSLT found be toxic 5.20±0.72 mg/L. findings indicate acts an antioxidant agent.

متن کاملTotal Phenolic Content, Total Flavonoid Content and Radical Scavenging Activity from Zingiber zerumbet Rhizome using Subcritical Water Extraction
Subcritical water extraction (SWE) is an alternative technique that implement water as a solvent. The objective of this work was to compare the efficiency of SWE in temperature range from 100ºC to 180ºC at extraction times ranging from 5 to 25 minutes with an ethanolic soxhlet extraction in terms of total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC) and radical scavenging activity (RSA...
متن کاملTotal phenolic content and antioxidant activity of fruit and leaf of Bene (Pistacia atlantica subsp. Kurdica) in Ilam province .
The objective of this study was to evaluate total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of leaf and different parts of fruit (hull, shell, and kernel) of Bene in Ilam province. Total phenolic content was determined with the Folin- Ciocalteu Reagent (FCR); antioxidant activity of methanolic extracts were examined by DPPH (2,2diphenyl- 1- picrylhydrazyl), FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant pow...

The anti-oxidant activity and total phenolic content of alcoholic extracts from seven medicinal plants (Asparagus racemosus, Ocimum sanctum, Cassia fistula, Piper betel, Citrus aurantifolia, Catharanthus roseus, and Polyalthia longifolia) were evaluated by using a model system consisting of β-carotene, DPPH free radical and Folin-Ciocalteu method. The total Phenolic content of the extracts was ...
متن کاملTotal Phenolic Content, Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities of Three Verbascum Species from Iran
The genus Verbascum L. belongs to the family Scrophulariaceae and includes plants that have been used widely in traditional medicine for a long time. Methanolic extracts of three Verbascum species from flora of Iran were in vitro screened for their possible antioxidant activities by three complementary test systems, namely DPPH free radical-scavenging, metal chelating activity and β-carotene/li...
